JOE KEERY AS STEVE HARRINGTON IN STRANGER THINGS SEASON 5 PART 1

863 CAPS, PART 1 (452) AND PART 2 (411)

Do I play favorites? ABSOLUTELY. My man. I will be doing part 2 of all of these after the finale drops on New Year's Eve.

JOSEPH QUINN AS JOHNNY STORM/THE HUMAN TORCH IN THE FANTASTIC FOUR: FIRST STEPS

930 CAPS, PART 1 (506) AND PART 2 (424)

I basically dropped off the deep end into life, but Stranger Things final season is almost here and I am EXCITED. I loved Joseph in this.

I started typing this on the way home just to occupy myself while in the middle of Saturday evening traffic. Today was me mostly doing a couple of errands at the mall: Dad went to get a new pair of glasses, and I needed to drop by the Mi store to finally get the desiccant cartridge for Jinx's automated feeder (Note to self: he's running low on food so grab some from the grocery tomorrow).

The big ticket item on my list which I've been waffling over is the smart band that I've been eyeing for almost two months now. It's not even for fitness, truth be told. While tracking my steps is a plus for an altogether healthier lifestyle, my real goal is to get information on sleep data, my pulse rate, and a bunch of other things that are relevant to me as a woman.

And while I know and understand that the whatever I get isn't going to be 100% accurate — because the brand itself says that it's not a medical device — it's comforting to own a piece of affordable tech out to help me advocate for my health better.

Random ramblings about stuff that you can skip over. )

Shifting gears now to write about happier things! Purchased my first ever website domain and feel so ridiculously proud of the name and the way I configured it in Google Sites (SEO is totally a bitch for this thing tho, and I cannot, for the life of me, figure out how the hell to make the preview images come out right).

But in hindsight, it feels oddly hilarious that I was an early internet adopter and I've had access to the world wide web (fan forums, Geocities, Gaia, LiveJournal, and then here) since I was 9. and yet, here I am at 40, finally able to say that I own a small patch of online real estate where my creative endeavors will be archived beyond this space.

I've been doing a lot of soul searching over the last couple of months since Mom's 3rd year death anniversary really sank in last November, and I'm... I'm just tired of putting my dreams on hold.

I have so many unfinished personal projects that have been sitting idle — my music, my poetry, a game I've been quietly and diligently developing. Taking the plunge to do this for me feels... right. Like taking one brave step and letting the universe know: here I am, now what?

I guess we'll just have to see.

I hope, if you're reading this, that the weekend is treating you more gently than this year has treated me. Catch me up? I've been AWOL since February, so I'm still backtracking my Reading feed. But yeah, come say hi?
